A branding system for Port Ellen, Islay as part of an urban revitalization project.
The surrounding area is home to many archaeological sites such as the 14th-century Dunyvaig Castle and the Kildalton Cross.
Port Ellen is home to three prominent distilleries just off the main road to the east of the town. The town’s tourism is primarily centered around Ardveg, Laphroaig and Lagavulin, the three distilleries available for tastings and tours.
A large part of my research went into creating a timeline about the town and surrounding area. The timeline helped me find a direction for the brand that would be deeply rooted in Port Ellen’s rich history.
